   I think you should use whatever you can develop the fastest in, this might be Rails if you are a beginner, or node, sinatra, or some python framework if you are a more experienced programmer. The author fail to mention that node also scales

   Feel the same way, now it's a site for trashy info products instead of actual useful software on sale. Probably the margin is higher selling to people who want to know "the easy way" of starting a startup.

   Look at Alexa ranks for them. Their traffic remains strong. I still scan the headlines for every article and I assume other people do the same.

    One key point is that YC is a great brand in the tech community. If you are a YC graduate, your have the credibility of it behind you as if someone was a Harvard grad. Doing stuff like this erodes the brand for an trivial amount of money. W

    You can use firebase in any browser or html5 setting. You can also do the same with phonegap and firebase. I fail to see the extra value added by trigger.io here.

    Unfortunately, the market dynamic is that there are lot more startups looking for funding that VCs looking for startups to fund. The reverse rejection does not work in this case.
