Yikes, that doesn't sound like fun. Dates seem inoffensive at first sight but turn out to be really hard to do. Have you tried Luxon? If your frontend isn't completely critical, you might be ok with the temporal-api polyfill, too.

I've written code in Windows, Mac and Linux (Ubuntu & PopOS) for years, and man, Windows and Mac are so far behind GNOME in every aspect. Today I think I even prefer Windows + WSL rather than Mac.
