This article goes so far as to flirt with the testing numbers without actually siting them. I really don't see what's so hard for news outlets to throw the total number of tests alongside the total number of positive results.

There are several options; fetchRSS, RSS-Bridge, etc. I personally have RSS-Bridge running on my local webserver, and use it for Twitter feeds, Instagram, Facebook, etc.

I concur, it's nearly there for me. On my old Dell Inspiron 3847 (my daily driver), the only hardware that didn't work right was audio through HDMI, and bluetooth didn't find my mouse (though it did find my BT headphones).
