Seems like it can also predict the future. Almost 500 now.

Like the other commenter said, you haven’t tried Apple silicon if you think all laptops suck. My M1 MacBook Air is way faster than my iMac with i7 7700. And now M3 pro is probably faster than my desktop i9 10850k.

Not everyone's that lucky genetically. I go to bed at the same and I can get out of bed whenever I want and yet I can't get 7 hours let alone 8 hours. And no I'm not the type who can be refreshed with less than 6 hours of sle

Doesn't that get triggered if you type "after" fast enough?

Unless all your work involves CSS I doubt it saves 3-4 hours / week. Also, saving 3 hours of work doesn't mean you get paid for 3 hours more. It's also a dependency that's not guaranteed to exist as long as the default b

Recalling yesterday's breakfast is not the same as multiplication table or some other facts you've memorized. Most people don't memorize their breakfast! edit: as an example, when someone asks "what's your name"

Curing age related diseases is permanent fix, and makes curing any low hanging fruits trivial.

I don't see why we should feel sad about that since not everyone's blessed with the same genes or family background or connections. But I guess one can feel sad about not being as lucky as others.

And then there’re people who commit robbery and serve time. Then not long after release they commit worse crime like murder, which could’ve been prevented if they’re still in jail. It’s not that simple man. Sure people can become better, or

Uh why is a 3d stack better than a list? It might be more fun for the first few minutes but it’s less efficient. When something is your job and you need to get things done, you’ll eventually choose the efficient route instead of the fancy o

IMO one of the best ways to learn vim after the basic movement is to copy others vimrc and build your own using vim. Use :help or :h along the way. vimrc is fairly simple to edit compare to actual programming languages.

Login just to agree with this. I've been a chronic insomniac for almost 3 years, it happened not long after I started tracking my sleep and read Matthew's book.

I have to agree with this. Before I have to exhaust all the medical resources, in my mind, when people get sick, they go see a doctor, the doctor prescribes medicine, and medicine fixes problems. But in reality we're still largely rely

Right now falling asleep is usually not a problem. Waking up early and then again and again is the problem; plus not sleeping more than 5.5 hours. This is an example from my sleep diary: bedtime 11:39, and the subsequent wake up times are 1

Agree with your points and I might give massaging a try. I've let go of so many things and pursuits since my condition started so I doubt it's anxiety and stress. It's been more than half a year since I need to work (fortunat

Actually, I've started 16:8 IF 2 to 3 months ago. I don't know if there's any correlation, but my sleep did improve following that habit (more details in my other reply).

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't give more details. Unfortunately, I've been following most of the "best practices" for sleep for a while, as it's been almost a year since my sleep turned to a mess. Currently, I

As someone who has chronic maintenance insomnia (so bad that I've been off work for more than 6 months), is there anything I can do?

I get what you mean and I agree to most of your points. I just want to point out that memorizing something you don’t use often is not completely useless. Some valuable creativity only happens when you connect some obscure and unrelated fact

The actual desktop SuperMemo app (supermemo 17 I believe) is not subscription based and is way way more powerful (but also convoluted and somewhat outdated UX wise). The web supermemo is dumb down and mainly for language learning.
