The "study" is based on 20 test subjects. Doesn't seem right to publish a paper based on such low numbers, especially when, as here, the experiment seems to be pretty cheap. Direct link to study: http://www.aes.org

I would not expect a university to teach git. Maybe the theory of version control systems, their history, or a comparison of different version control systems. But not how to use the tool.

I didn't think “I cut, you choose” is that fair. Since often it's difficult to cut fairly, so the other person gets to pick a bigger piece always.
