I'm not familiar with 401k rules but presumably they get a choice of markets and products? If one is over concentrated its easily avoided.

Our cars are getting pretty big too. A BMW X5 is only slightly narrower than an F150, a range rover vogue only another inch off that. All fun and games with road infrastructure built for 108s and clios.....

I'm surprised by this, maybe its industry specific. An 80:20 split of windows server to everything else has been pretty common in the areas I've worked both as a <10 day contactor and as a FTE.

Really simple. I read the prerequisites of whatever software im asked to install and do what it says. I'm not spending the next 3 years of my life trying to make some monitoring platform run on WebLogic i have other jobs to do in 4-8-1

The exact same argument can be made for cars. Doesn't stop the government wasting half my Saturday and stealing £100 every couple of years. We should congratulate cyclist on becoming fully fledged (oppressed) road users.
