I found the same, though I couldn't bring myself to buy another watch just because it was cheaper. So I bought some NATO straps and have been really happy with them. Perfect watch for me now.

Agreed, and anecdotally, we live in a very large US city and know our postman and our UPS delivery guy. It's been extremely helpful on more than one occasion, he even personally texted me when I wasn't home to say he could come by

Yep, this is exactly what I do with my Surface - except then I do code on it, which is why I picked it instead of an iPad pro. This one device has replaced my MacBook pro while still letting me sketch and draw and annotate.

This is exactly what I just did and it's been great so far. The battery life isn't spectacular for todays standards, but it lasts longer than my 2012 rMBP 15" does now. Quick, light (way lighter than the MBP) and has been fun

To find our current apartment in NYC, I just used IFTTT, plugging in the URL of a custom search (neighborhood, price, bedrooms, etc) on craigslist. Worked a treat

The first I can see is that the hololens is self contained (no wires to computer), where this looks like its tethered to a computer edit: and the FOV looks way bigger on the meta than the hololens

I don't think they're avoiding calling it a tablet, but highlighting the fact that it can be used like a clipboard - as in papers clipped to a board with the pen stuck on top.

That's what I noticed as well. Another misuse I see all the time is 'setup' (noun) being used as a verb instead of 'set up'. For example, 'I need to setup this computer today'

Yep. They now have 2 options basically: you can use 'Cascades' which is their modified Qt framework (modified by The Astonishing Tribe who RIM bought - awesome designers/developers) with the eclipse-based IDE, or you can write a 'webworks'
