I was going to try out pi and I set it up with some of the recent big open weights models, but then I realized that if I just use pi the way I use claude code, it doesn't have an auto mode so it's basically just --dangerously-skip

I'd love it if chicken breast in Canada was cheaper. I think maybe there need to be some controls or regulation so meat coming from the US isn't lower quality than what we currently have but if the price went down i wouldn't

That selling point is probably more about using a claude code subscription than running your own models. Because of apple's lockin there are certain things you can only do on apple devices and a mac mini is useful for that
