I think for _most_ people it comes down to this: how much can I cram into the platform. More lanes is more high speed storage, special purpose processing, and networking interfaces.

Not to snipe but there does seem to be (as of this year) some folks doing cargo (e.g. longtail) with Bosch for USD ~4K. The entire sector needs disruptive pricing on reliable sub-components. What it's been getting is disruptive pricing

I think adding Pinion, doubt they are dropping Bosch. Pinion has potentially a superior platform in that you have a fully integrated motor and gearbox, but this is a new item in the market. Bosch with Rholoff[0] is extremely well known as a

Thanks for posting this. These new systems that can expose a PCIe slot are extremely impressive.

The consistent transparency has guided many of my acquisition decisions personally and professionally. It also drove me to seriously examine B2, which is used personally and professionally as well. Would like to encourage your organization

Per comitter would be ideal, viewing source and interacting via tickets is something that is usually a secondary stakeholder community that is larger than the score development group (in every org I see adoptjng forge style tools)

Toolbox on silverblue is something to look at if you're interested in this style of application deployment.

I'd say that it's worth 30$/year for "family" as well rather than individual. For example, I'd happily pay that fee for my family but I feel like I'd have a hard time telling my family to each pay that fee

can you comment on the vision that gitlab as a product would have in the future for integration with gitter/matrix? We're running a decent sized gitlab+mattermost instance now, we're using mattermost guests to pull in collabo

fedora+rpmfusion+flathub silverblue effectively gives you the ability to have the benefits of a rolling distro and the benefits of a distro that does releases (stability focused).

It'd just be nice if integrators like lenovo wouldn't nerf things like displays. It looks like their lineup for AMD mobile graphics is going to be significantly different than the Intel counterparts.

For what its worth the T4x0(s) series has been very good for Linux in general. We've been hopping the odd numbers every other year.

One of the things I feel is important is matching your external displays with the internal one, the 1440p in the T470s matches up with all of my displays at every desk I work at. This makes it pretty easy to move around and feel comfortable
