Isn't this comparable to mathematicians building on eachothers work, however incomplete or disproven prior work was?

COCs never became popular though, business types enforced them and hackers fought against and lost

The argument is not so much for QT as it is against electron/web crap masquerading as desktop applications.

Why did you move to management if you wanted to carryon coding? 2 different personality types, mindsets. Becoming a better coder while also getting manager pay instead of moving to management is a thing ya know

I've had bad experiences with those repeaters, but never used the RJ45 backed ones. IMHO, that is then the same as an AP though - except for maybe sharing the same network SSID.

The best / cheap solution for great wifi is to purchase additional cheap ones, disable the dhcp server and drag lan from one to the other. (AP mode I guess.) Lounge, Office, Bedroom for example. Connect your devices to each at least

A better use case would be to list the processes on systems without procps installed. Nice.

Strongly disagree. Apples to apples, C++/QT will always beat the shit out of JS/Electron. The real problem here is computers HAVE gotten too fast, so lazy shit like electron is acceptable as 'good-enough'

Desktop apps should be C++/QT, not javascript.

Yeah, when you have inept people. Hackernews however is a frounder, frontend scene first site. So I'd imagine that is what normal feels like to most of you.

Pretty lame. If you already use docker, it shouldn't take nearly that long. If you don't, then kube isn't the problem for any migration similar
