I'd definitely encourage more regulation in this area. It's going to be a balancing act but at the moment, its is way too skewed towards the big corp in the corp vs consumer arguement.

Definitely travel to Japan! Do it while you're young. You literally have your whole life ahead of you - 1 or 2 years in Japan will give you experiences you've never even thought about!
