I’ve had similar thoughts, but I’ve come around to this buildout being rational. All of the big ai labs are still jockeying for compute and are having trouble keeping up with inference demand.

The linked article just looked at collisions that happened and compared danger by vehicle weight. If I had to guess, I would assume lighter vehicles generally have a shorter stopping distance and hit pedestrians less.

Yes, but even if the referenced security risk is patched you would still be able to find out if some has an account or not since a password reset page will tell you if it has successfully sent an email to an account.

I think this is bad; not necessarily for the consumer, but for the industry as a whole. Reselling means that copies sold after the release benefit random consumers, not the developer. On the other hand unresellable licenses along with sales

I would say a decrease in players. TF2 still had a strong playerbase but it isn't what it was 5 years ago.

I don't think the relating running shoes to motors in bikes is a fair comparison. Motors in bicycles add energy to the system; running shoes simply allow a runner to be more efficient.

Check out the program Infinality. It has settings for different rendering methods including one that mimics OSX. It works great for me although I will admit that I am not one who notices this stuff easily.
