What do you mean by backlinks are not possible? Do you mean in DokuWiki? Each page has a "What links here" button that shows backlinks - that feature is builtin.

If this is for personal use only, you could also just install PHP from your distro (cli only, not mod_php) and run DokuWiki using the builtin PHP devel server. Low hassle and only running a process when you need it.

From what I understand this handles only authentication and provides tokens that may be used for additional (undefined APIs). What bugs me about this (and all the oAuth implementations out there) is that you never just want authentication.
