   Interesting, though what this actually does is run a local webserver so I assume it would be even simpler to just open the default web browser pointed to the local server? But then you start thinking that sound output could also be handled

   Huh? It needs my phone to be present to turn on the lights? What if my wife wants to turn on the lights? Why does it need to talk to a phone? Wouldn't a zigbee device compatible with the hue bridge make more sense?

   To me inoreader.com is the perfect Google reader like feed reader. I don't get all the fuzz about feedly, there are better alternatives. just my $0.02

   I tried feedly shortly after Google Reader shut down but didn't like it much then. Don't know how it is nowadays. Inoreader is very close to the Google Reader experience without being a 1:1 clone.

    I experienced the same. Not showing retweets in my Twitter app of choice made Twitter enjoyable again. I can highly recommend it.
