Many points in this blog post are spot on, The moral of the story is: There is no perfect tech stack or architecture, only pros and cons. The sooner you learn this, the better you become at making decisions.

I think its the loss of excitement mid way executing an idea that makes one lazy. If an idea continues to excite you to a level where you think "you're doing justice to it" i think thats the one worth pursuing. Try a 100 time

I think it was the first better done package managers. Saved the problem of installing modules on cross platforms. Most of the time it works without a hiccup. For a perl developer CPAN is a friend.
