pdfs literally include their actual size in metadata in the document itself. Most printers will complain at least a little bit if you try to print it on the wrong size paper. This paper is : 215.9 × 279.4 mm (Letter, portrait)

In either one of those cases, it sounds like a company I don't want to work for anyways. Bullet dodged. I would only really care about jeopardizing the offer if it's a company that wouldn't have an open office plan, anyways.
