Except with nix it doesn’t make it weird. If you delete iwd and something stops working, then you can just roll back to the previous generation of the nix store that included iwd.

Didn’t read the article, but why would you go work at a lower end job when you can make 80-90% of what you would make by just collecting unemployment benefits? I personally know at least 2 people that admitted this and said they would wait

I've never understood why the government thinks that just because someone has died, they deserve 40+% of money that has already been taxed.

These statements are so true. When our company had billing issues with in-app purchases, there were plenty of times that we wanted to refund people for their purchases and we had no way to do this on both Apple and Amazons platforms. We h

Also want to give you a big thank you for creating i3. After using it for a long time I can’t imagine going back to a setup without it. I almost always need 2 windows side by side and it makes that workflow so effortless.

This could easily be solved by something along the lines of “Version 3.0 maintains full compatibility with Version 2.2” at the top of their release notes. I dislike the idea of going away from SemVer just for marketing purposes. At least a

I disagree with you. When you “owned” a physical cd, you had to ability to sell it. When you own the digital version it is not possible to resell it.

Amazon really missed the boat when they came out with their crappy phone attempt. They could have invested more money and made some decent hardware instead of trying to do something gimmicky. They still haven't really learned though

Just wanted to thank you for this answer. I never knew about OpenSSH escape sequences and I've used ssh for years. https://pleiades.ucsc.edu/hyades/SSH_Escape_Sequences

This is really exciting to see! I had assumed that they would be launching most new instance types with only EBS storage so this is awesome that it looks like this will be coming to even more instance types too. The bottom of the article m

I had 35 HVM instances that didn’t have forced downtime. There are other reasons a machine could need to be brought out of service.

So this sounds like this Intel bug will not impact performance on HVM instances.

In your scenario, what happens if you need to change strong_master_password? I’m assuming you now need to change every password on every single site or else remember your new strong password and your old.

Are there really people willing to pay $5,000 for a computer built in to a monitor? If you want to run 2 screens, then they won’t match.

RE: converting iTunes gift cards to Apple store cards. I’ve never heard of anyone being able to do this, iTunes gift cards can very easily be obtained for +20% off of face value and the same cannot be said for Apple store cards.

Considering amazon is always available according to their status page, this shouldn’t be too hard to meet. For the record, I’m running in us-west-2 and have barely had any issues in the past 3+ years but I do wish they were more transparent

The only thing that you have to do to satisfy this requirement is don’t hardcode IPv4 addresses in your app. If you are using domain names for everything then it doesn’t matter if those are only resolvable to v4 addresses.
