I have been fighting with this since installing the Beta. Has caused me to stop using skype, and only turning it on as a last resort. Would be curious if anyone has a link for 2.8, as it (unsurprisingly) isn't on their site anymore.

I agree, it works well for me. I'm abroad 11 months of the year. This setup permits me to receive calls on a US number without paying international fees - even better it is now the number that all my contacts already have. Also, the porting

I just finished the process of moving my number over. I had some issues calling the ported number from Skype, and as has been mentioned, there is no support from google. More on my experience here: http://www.mikolayczyk.com/2011/01/succes
