I don't know where you are from, but at least in Slovenia if you see someone running for EU parliament you know he is basically retiring from politics. EU parliament has no actual power, EU is basically ran by EC and ECB.

The best math book for a software engineer imho is Concrete mathematics by Knuth (of TAOCP fame). Problems in it are a bit tough to chew through though.

Linear algebra doesn't have many preconditions - so being used to math texts is much more important for it than having some pre-knowledge. Easiest to start will be either Linear Algebra done right by Axler or Linear algebra done wrong

I think they define emergency a bit more widely than we are used to with other providers. For urgent change of router I was notified almost 2 months in advance. For "real" unplaned emergencies I had in total like 5min of downtime

They are suprisingly reliable - the only problem we repeatedly have is CMOS batteries draining if they are turned off during vacation period (happens for less than 5% of our rigs though).
