I'm still slightly confused. The author suggests that a monad is composed of 3 functions. It seems to me you've shown 2 of these functions. a -> m b >>= What is the third function? Did I misunderstand you?

Call me a pessimist but I doubt the vast majority of people will ever find true mentorship. Would it be nice to have a more experienced and talented developer take a personal interest in your career and technical development? yes, of course

I was in a similar boat and I recommend angular2 using the CLI. The build process is totally abstracted and the nice thing about angular is that you're never really going to be wondering what router do I use etc, because the framework

It seems to me that most job adverts require a technical degree or relevant experience. I feel that very few jobs would make a distinction between a SE or CS degree.

There is an example of an ng2 app using ngrx platform that is reasonably large -- ngrx is a redux using rxjs (more-or-less). https://github.com/ngrx/example-app
