It will not take superior models or LLM processes to do skeuomorphism again. It was always possible to do skeuomorphic design, it just took hard work and a focussed design effort. Just as it’s now easier than ever to do any sort of UI/

This is actually a feature utilised by transgender lesbians such as myself to maintain our competitive advantage over cisgendered engineers. Accrual of “woke points” gives higher LLM throughput and higher quality outputs even on less-capabl

Used Traefik a couple times in my homelab, would’ve been circa 2017/2018. Worked great when it worked, otherwise it tended toward breaking ungracefully and confusingly. Tried it again for a short time in 2022, rock solid, no complain

Similar boat. I think the FM iOS client is fine. It’s not a native app, it’s a bit sluggish occasionally, the interface has improved over the past 5 years but it’s still not up to the same scratch as Gmail or Apple Mail. I use FMail2 for

The FM iOS interface is just not polished enough. Compare Gmail or Apple Mail on iOS.

Everyone is in agreement, this is impressive stuff. Mind blowing, even. But have the good people at Google decided why exactly we need to build the torment nexus?

It’s funny to consider the parallels between the tapestry’s return and the campaigns for repatriation of the British Museum’s many stolen artefacts

Here in AUS, essentially every single optometrist requires digital imaging. Oh, and it’s subsidised by the government. You don’t pay a single cent for a prescription. Bonus: If you have private optical health insurance it will likely cover

Interesting. In regards to your first point, do you have justification to back your claim? I’d be interested in reading more, or perhaps seeing an example?

When I walked into the local Apple store circa 2019 I was greeted with a “welcome to Apple” notification from the Apple store app. It’s the only example I’ve seen of iBeacons being used that I personally know of.

There's a little-known .au TLD just for this purpose- .id.au, and I've found it's still quite easy to snag a ${name}.id.au (No ABN required, AFAIK).
