iirc there was a report in the Verge that overall content quality has fallen. r/all has mostly short trending tiktok video, earlier it used to be niche interesting topic, you wouldn't find anywhere else. I started using tildes.net

LineageOS is not the answer. Check out the DivestOS, it is known for supporting 'out of support' devices. but I would strongly suggest you to change your device, that is too old. There is new vunrebility each month.
