I'm curious why they didn't qualify the FS700 (considering they include the FS7) or any external recorders. Being able to record straight to a pair of SSD's in an Odyssey would seem preferable to dealing with Sony's bolt

I believe when they flipped the switch to default to SMB it was actually to SMB 3 in 10.10. Anecdotally, I'd always found AFP in the Tiger and Leopard days to be faster than whichever version of SMB support was included at the time. N

PostGIS is awesome... the geometry functions built into vanilla Postgres provide an interesting set of functionality that almost no one seems to know about. points, boxes, circles, intersection/distance/etc functions. Really cool
