You nailed it on the end for me as an Adult with ADHD diagnosed in my 30s. Motivation has been my biggest A-Ha with ADHD and trying my absolute best to align what I do with what I want to do otherwise I am setting myself up for failure and

You are discussing a theoretical world. In the real world, interest rates are 0. I can't find a SINGLE savings account over 1%, while inflation is over 5%: https://www.bankrate.com/banking/savings/rates/

This comment is spot on. Interest rates are not in line with inflation, therefore, savers are being eaten alive. Those on fixed income (retirees, disabled) are getting absolutely screwed.

Just want to second your wonderful comment. Down-time is critical for productivity... it is not a paradox as one might seem. Just like exercising gives you MORE energy.

You sure it's not just being around young people. The prefrontal cortex doesn't mature until late 20s, so people are more impulsive and selfish. The 30+ crowd in Ayahuasca/Psychedelics have been some of the kindest, most giv

You should check out '30 million words'. It's a book about the importance of spoken language on young minds, and books may be a means. Fascinating data in it.

Definitely possible, I'm just highlighting it as hard. The last time "making friends" was easy was in university/college. For me (anecdote), it's only gotten harder as I've become an adult... then married... th

It's hard to make friends with people and I'm in my 30s. I can't imagine how hard it would be to "find new people" when you are 90+ and probably can't even drive.

So by having a mortgage you justify unethical behavior? I fail to see how one creating their OWN problem justifies unethical behavior. "Be the change you want to see in the world."

Debt is worse now than in 2008. We haven't / didn't escape anything, just passed it on to future generation(s). Future generations will be paying the bill for mistakes of their parents.
