It strikes me how broad the range in work experiences are. I have never had coworkers who cared about anything besides getting the work done. The idea of politics in the workplace is foreign to me, but I know it is common.

Popular influencers have talked about them more recently. I think it also coincides with the zeitgeist of "oh yeah my local politics are important and affect my life" People are being awakened to that reality by the proliferation
