Reread yourself next time. There's many typos and places where you used the wrong h̶o̶m̶o̶n̶y̶m̶s̶ homophones. It's hard to take you seriously when you write "left in piece"...

It uses mutter as its window manager, which is based on metacity and uses the clutter toolkit (hardware accelerated UI). It replaces compiz but seems to have much less eye candy. Remember, metacity is the WM for the grown up! So gnome-shell
