Definitely not, it does not look pleasant to me either. At first I thought it was just the small font size, but I noticed it on the "Edit" page as well.

You're right in that it boils down to that, but that does also inherently justify using React for them. Why would the author prefer unfamiliar tools in favor of tools they are productive with that produce the same output?

I can't say for sure since I've not benchmarked performance - my python/ruby/C# web applications are not very cpu intensive. FWIW my Scaleway instances feel way more sluggish than my DO instances - not sure if that'
