You can also use the environment file linked in that blog post to tell Rust to follow the XDG standard. Not perfect because it is not the default behaviour but it is doable.

Yes. You get a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for free. That is what you need in the EU for GDPR purposes. Customers with HIPAA compliance needs may need an Business Associate Agreement (BAA). That BBA thing is only included in paid plans.

Because by law it is forbidden to say if they are forced to give access by law. The removal of the canary together with that message without addressing that directly can be seen as strong hint that the where forced to give access.

Right. Other use case. PiHole is setup for network normally. This solution is personal desktop firewall. So it has more access to information, but is also easier breakable (like break thru) for "bad" software on your PC.

I've had cataracts since birth. It's a relatively dense area in the middle of my field of view. My brain interpolates information there as well as possible. Because of this I never see a stain. It's funny to spot the bugs

I do not understand why the most services doesn't do diffs by them self. My bank for example has an "show diff" button if they change anything. This saves me time and build up trust because I know they try not to hide anythin

I worked with some people of that particular JPL software team to setup a similar setup like the Mars helicopter for a earth UAV. Can confirm that multiple real time systems are used. They are controlled by a non real time Linux system.
