The showering thing is an urban legend; you can have landlords try and enforce it, but it infringes on your basic right to enjoy your property iirc and is unenforceable. The glass thing is accurate tho!

Not op but I also have a varia and feel safer for it. Living in Switzerland, cycle a lot on public curvy roads in the alps. Often I don’t hear someone coming if I’m focusing on something else important - like traffic in the other direction

You could use span links for this. The idea is you have a bunch of discrete traces that indicate they are downstream or upstream of some other trace. You’d just have to bend it a bit to work in your probably single process batch executor !

This is great! I wonder how much the presenters country - the Netherlands - has made this easier with the peering. It’s hard for me to imagine just asking big serious networks to patch you in down here in Switzerland is likely to fly.
