Surrounded by scandals, Trudeau passed a law that had an oh-so-unintentional side-effect of hiding news from many people’s primary news source. It’s hard to not be cynical about it.

Moot point because Trudeau basically banned all news from being shared on Facebook

The reasonable course of action is to pick one of the three rewrites that codify a proposed interpretation of the currently ambiguous rules. What would be unreasonable is to give those 3 options to a judge and ask them to do a coin toss o

The problem aren’t interpretative courts, its unclear laws. The pencil example is all fun and games, but swap « buying mechanical pencils » with « sending people to prison », and then it makes more sense why some people prefer the judiciary

Whats the problem? If congress disagrees with what the courts did to fill in the blanks in their laws, they just need to pass new laws.

How is it not true? Instead of tracking data and function calls over a unified stacktrace, you track Things and Messages over databases, queues, and logs —- none of which you can trivially attach a debugger to. I generally like event-driven

These acquihire posts read so cheery. Why? You’re killing a product that at least 1 person depended on. Why are you pretending that this is exciting for them?

I just want to watch things without paying 5$ ppv or 100$ in combined subscriptions. Charge me $15/mo to watch what I want and they would have my money forever. I would never torrent again.
