I find that incredible (in a good way!) My idea of govt organizations was strict dress code, clock in at 8 AM on the dot, leave at 5 PM sharp, unknowable bureaucracy above your head.

As someone born in 1995, I don't have any real emotional connection to the Challenger explosion. It's pretty bizarre to think that children born after the 9/11 attacks will probably feel the same indifference.

I've definitely seen this after spending two summers at Airbnb. They take pride in being very selective re: culture fit and personality, and I think this is one of the most critical reasons why it's a great place to work.

It bothers me that the main reason these people are choosing to go is to be remembered. I watched a similar documentary on them a while ago and there was a general consensus that they lead purposeless lives here and they want a statue made

I agree. Weirdly, I find myself coming up with more ideas of what to build when I see the limited options Radioshack has than when I'm ordering parts off the internet. Limits breed creativity, I guess.
