They do appear to have a light mode, along with general UI customizability according to the homepage [1]. 1: https://www.audacityteam.org/audacity-4/

Out of curiosity I tried to load this on my iPhone 12 and it took about 8 and a half minutes and once it finally passed it said my browser didn't allow cookies and to enable them before trying again. I would have to go through the whol

They mentioned their work on upgrading their fork of Wine from being based on Wine 2.x/3.x to Wine 10.0. I didn't realize just how old their wine components were, it doesn't seem like the upgrade fully made this release but I

This is super exciting! This is one of my favorite niche OSes to watch grow.

Same here. I'm definitely getting the fingerprint sensor this time. Additionally whenever an improved display is released I'm itching to get that as well. These are such exciting devices to own.

My understanding is that REM isn't particularly deep. Quick web searches aren't actually defining it as more like light or deep sleep, but many of our systems are more active than other stages[1][2]. Still I don't think it&#x

It stuck out to me because it's I recognized it as a word used in Diary of a Wimpy kid of all things. After a quick search though that seems like a coincidence.

iirc I can use Firefox's reader mode on websites that if I simply disabled js entirely would refuse to load anything at all. The viewer itself might have minimal or no js but it's not quite the same.

ah I thought it was a reference to "Irish need not apply" phrase from job postings that would discriminate against Irish applicants. This is a less off-putting reference.

They're known for asking odd questions like "how did you perform in math in high school" and "please justify your performance in math in high school". It was actually my guess as well before I read the post.

This would be really cool. With the process of allowing fediverse logins it would be nice to also be able to use lemmy accounts since right now those don't seem to work. (That might be related to the HN hug though I'm not sure).

I can't speak to other fediverse software but I tried a few lemmy servers to no avail. My mastodon instance is under maintenance so I guess I'll have to wait until that's done to sign up.

This is similar to my experience doing a research project for a fellowship. I had a barebones LaTeX file but I pushed doing the proper formatting for when I was finished writing and then had a hell of a time trying to get it all working pro

Yeah the appeal to me would be the ability to have my desktop experience spread throughout an established home built in minecraft. I think in reality the added friction in a setup like that would be enormous but it's a pleasant thought
