In melbourne australia, we have been preserving our beaches with rocks forever, at least since the 1930's. We were losing 20m every 10 years, not 10m per year. I dont think this is a new concept.

It's obvious what these " strange equipment" does. Talk about retro hardware. All of this was out of date by 1990. If the USA armed forces really didn't understand, I would be worried!

Omg! You cant derive science from first principles and give up all the physics/maths techniques used in the last 200 years. They didn't even take into account the error would increase is the you added more time derivatives.
