Thanks for the feedback (both of you!) - when writing this, I envisioned a use case where the secret was static within the application, so it is easy enough for the developer to check their secret is 32 characters and not have to bother wit

This solution (and those listed in the comments) are all very interesting solutions, well done. They might not work with different colour images, but they are interesting nonetheless.

Correct, it isn't supposed to be used with ad providers that Adblock may (or may not) already block, it's supposed to work with internal ads that would come from the same domain as the content providers.

Updated, not the cleanest way to do it but indeed adding a dummy image as the first child should stop it.

Indeed, from a content creator standpoint - I wouldn't care if the image got removed after you'd seen it since I would of already got the impression.

Hm, tried it with Opera and it is indeed blocking it. However, the image still shows when the page is reloaded. So eh, kinda works.

Go for it, i've only tested it using Adblock. I'll test out Remove it Permanently and see if I can come up with some sort of anti for it ;)
