As teenagers with close friend circles, that's becoming more common. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick up and get more involved with Facebook if/when they enter a larger community at college, or move to a new city, etc

Since Facebook bought Instagram, it has been quite enjoyable to watch which features Facebook borrows from Instagram and vice versa. Moving Instagram towards more of a News Feed will probably improve the interface for most users
