They haven’t announced anything like that - they’re just using LiDAR rigs to validate data from their vision based approach, particularly distance. It actually even mentions something about it at the bottom of the article you referenced.

I don't think that's necessarily true - both Puppet and Chef are Ruby, and you'll often hear Ruby referred to as the "lingua franca" of DevOps.

I don't think so either. The impression I get is that this covers retention policies for communications incidentally acquired during intelligence operations. A (perhaps poor) example might be, a raid on safehouse that yields hard drive
