Basically any note played on an analog instrument has a set of overtones of various frequencies. If these tones were played a bit louder, you would hear a chord rather than a single note.

This happens to me as well. Sometimes I also hear random disconnected sounds: a bell, pots clanging, voices, etc. There have been many nights where I've actually struggled to sleep through all the cacophony.

One thing they're missing here is that optimization is also about optimizing resources, not just the speed of an individual request/response cycle. If each request takes 50% less time, the app has 100% more resources to handle other request
