If you find a proper senior dev - it will be like 10 or more of that junior you described. Because you can’t shortcut experience. And AI multiplies that. I’ve seen what ai-focused good senior dev can do and it is scary.

Maybe some day, not in the short term. I've seen output of bad developers using Fable and after that I sleep safe. A bad or below average dev with AI will run your product and company into the ground in a matter of weeks.

The better the models are the less this is true. If the prompt history is smth like “goal: root this tablet” and it did all on its own - then you plumber can 100% achieve same result in same amount of time.
