https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWSIFh8ICaA Because they did a whole marketing stunt over it. Granted it was more than a decade ago, so probably just a remnants of old console war.

sony already cancelled like 5 in development live service games now since concord bombed? Certainly a lesson that is hard to learn.

I wonder if the dutch have a plan to evacuate the whole country in say, a year time, in case walling the seas no longer feasible? Not in an emergency scenario but more like "it doesn't make sense to stay here anymore".

Nope.. maybe. Valve now requires anti cheat to be present on the store page. Highlighted in yellow along with EULAs and 3rd party login. Apex Legends did not have kernel level anti cheat even though recently they block linux/steamdeck

I dont understand why meta didnt pair up with vrchat/gamedev/game engine dev at the time. Sure they got John Carmack, but their presentation is so much worse. Its so hard not to draw comparison with the other half baked crypto met

Its mature and battle tested at this point. At least for 2D web games. The original/early version of Vampire Survivors is in Phaser if I'm not mistaken. Remade in Unity to make console port easier.

That's why they should hire someone else to do the leg work (That's what they used to do anyway). There isn't exactly a lot of unique things in Portal 2 compared to the original but the sheer polish and testing Valve applied

I wished they hire the Arkane team that got laid off. Put them to work on a new single player ip and let Victor Antonov add some of his design into it. They dont have to do anything new, just make it good enough, like Titanfall 2.

I used to think so but my current android has terrible heat management. Maybe bad battery or I may have doomscrolling for too long. The battery got bloated without me noticing it.

Paper's Please as well. Blows my mind that what look like a mundane puzzle game can evoke such a strong feelings in me. And that was the beta build of the game, barely any storyline just from the mechanics and design alone.

Pretty sure overwatch got millions in its hey day. Not to mention call of duty, counter strike and the many clones of COD/CS. Though I'm not sure if the likes of Free Fire concern itself too much with the purity of competition. I

isn't part of Pixar decline was because their talents were "poached" by Disney? Its around the time that Disney in-house team transition to 3D as well. (poached probably not the right word but I recall reading Disney tried to

Did you mean X-COM, the 1994 turn based game? Or XCOM, the 2012 reboot of the same game? I jest but those Firaxis guys must be eager to do something about this whole thing before twitter blew up. Its around the time for the third installmen

Same thing with Dead Cells and Slay the Spire. Many similar games but very few of them managed to imitate the delicate balance of carrot and stick.

I imagine you will see similar things with Icefrog, in their tenure as the custodian of DotA map in Warcraft 3. Balancing a competitive game is something that even Blizzard struggle with. (well, Icefrog isn't burdened by the need for m

Not Ghibli or Miyazaki at all but I would recommend Now And Then, Here And There as a companion piece. It's tropes and plot points are similar to FBC but seen through a very different lens.
