Exactly this…it is individualism to the extreme. I don’t think they believe that cutting funding is in the best interest of the collective. But their activists want this so they will do it. It is hard in politics to link cause and effect so

They are actually more similar than you would imagine. The national language is English and there is a decent size community in the bigger American cities that make it easier for a Ghanaian immigrant to assimilate.
