probably the difference is we have systems in place. religion and other social structures. as systems go so can machines have systems but is less interpretive for better or worse.

it is so easy to spoof and really does not matter in usage except desktop/mobile. there are so many analytics out side that that it is indeed antiquated.

it is probably paranoia but not improbable. they have direct control of these companies and can totally do this. others like the US would have to go less direct routes for these things.

interestingly you had head shops(paraphernalia) before legalization. everyone knew what they where for but nothing illegal until it was used for that specifically. you can even buy crack pipes in some of the seedier neighborhood stores.

in other words science is a method of inquiry. the problem is most people do not have the expertise and/or time it takes; some trust in so called experts is ok to a degree.

well at least it does not overwrite it it could possibly be recovered. a backup trash folder is a good idea for those things aliases are great for a lot of things including larger scripts that would probably be in a separate file. shred or

true but.. it is fear of uncertainty. not knowing how to deal with something or even assess because you don't know the problem. there is big business in people with answers as well con men.

seems more about doxing and in this case large scale. being able to attach identities to numbers. as for brut forcing I'm sure they have limited attempts among other measures.

you can start programs with just X. i use simple WMs but have put kodi in its own dedicated session. its kind of like kiosk mode.

it is practically a wget for web videos and can be forwarded to like mpv. you should look at the supported sites it is quite extensive and youtube being a humble beginning.

it does fit a specific definition. it manipulates to get information. hacking manipulates software to get information they would not otherwise have access too as well.
