Unfortunately you just have to avoid it. Wheat, flour and bread isn't processed well in the US. For grains and beans, soak them for 10 minutes in baking soda or 5 minutes in activated charcoal. It doesn't get rid of everything, bu

I learned this lesson the hard way. I worked for a company that had a huge culture problem. I made the mistake of telling the truth to HR about it, and suddenly I started going from beyond excellent performance reviews to strangely poor per

One of my favorite things about this article is it's a dad (with a spouse who also works), talking about how important his family is to him and his struggles to have both family and work (AKA "having it all" when some women t

This is kind of awesome. Really great landing page. Great testimonials - makes me feel like if I use it, I know many others will already have it (or will easily adopt when I share it). Screenshots are perfect - I know exactly what I'm

Parse actually seems pretty developer-focused. So does Syncano, except their free tier is limited. I believe they're changing that, though. Pubnub, Kinvey, etc. all seem to target more enterprise clients.

It'll be interesting to see what Google does with firebase. There are already alternatives out there - but question is - which of them will succeed next?

You might want to check out Syncano for real-time apps/data storage. If you're looking just to do just push notifications, check out PubNub. I believe both are independently owned. And yeah, bummer about the whole Google thing.

Wow. Pretty bold of them to think they could fight social media and the consumer powered era with such an outrageous policy. While I am amazed at their lack of embarrassment, (especially since the policy is still up on their website), it&#x
