I wholeheartedly agree with this but want to add that the 80/15/5 split aren’t set in stone. It’s more like risk tolerance. The more you spend on the riskier activities (not exactly what you’re asked to do), the higher the chance

I expand this idea a tad. 4-8 tabs per window. But then I organize tabs based on context. Then I can switch around contexts and still have my handful of tabs open. Sometimes that means 1 window, sometimes that means 4 windows. Just depends

Just to clarify one possible misconception, the two ends would be the mother and daughter’s phones in this case. Meta shouldn’t have the key to decrypt accessible to them. You’re absolutely correct that it can be decrypted on either end but

The way to look at this is that this is what happens when you don’t have safe and legal medical abortions. Also this is one of the reasons why e2e encryption is so important. Meta had to comply with a warrant and wouldn’t have had to comply

The word Uber has existed in English speaking countries for much longer than the ride sharing service. Using that spelling doesn’t affiliate you with the company. The opposite actually as the company used a common word.

Is suc scaleable? I didn’t see any discussion of managing conversations across a cluster of ssh-capable hosts and you’re not going to support more than a few thousand with a single ssh server.

Of the three (Slack, Teams, Discord) I actually prefer Discord. Its the easiest to use, the fastest, etc. Too bad that any corporation of size uses Teams or Slack.
