Sublime's minimalistic UI is really a vacation away from all the clutter in some mainstream editor like VSCode or Zed. And in my machine it launched really fast, faster than Zed which is promoted as a minimal code editor in its website

Kate is a good editor and it needs more publicity and more extensions. But, in my experience, as far as speed goes, it is slower than Sublime Text in my machine though still tolerable.
