That's fine from a theoretical standpoint, but the reality is far, far different. People in general do easy, token gestures. They're not following proper procedures for mask use.

What do you mean by content farm? I'd argue the opposite about using managed hosting -- a self-hosted WordPress site is more likely to outlast one on managed WordPress hosting for the sole reason of cost. Managed hosting is significant

Know your target audience too. I'm not sure if I'm it, but reCAPTCHA gives me enough friction that I often abandon pages with it. Simply using Firefox's antifingerprinting feature plus some ad/tracker blocking is enough
