the line is crossed because if you store data in the cloud you kind of get that the provider might be force to give LE to it. It may or may not happen but if it's in the cloud technically it's out of your control. Stuff running on

if you read the paper Apple put out, this check takes place right before the icloud upload. also, they are allegedly not doing this for all existing pics. only new ones that get uploaded to icloud

nah. it means that they don’t scan it yet. also by reading that doc and pointing to it means you trust apple. i used to trust apple when they were peddling their privacy marketing stuff. not anymore.
