I think it's the opposite: NAT almost made IPv6 obsolete. I spent a large time trapped behind a NAT by my former ISP, getting "you are alredy downloading" errors. So I absolutely hate whoever invented that crap.

Chrome and Flash are installing services, but they also create tasks in Task Scheduler. Will Firefox do this as well? Can one delete the services and have only the tasks running?

Think what would happen if the number is wrong and other side of the line has a phone, instead of a faxmodem. A human attends the call. Or am I wrong and that is the noise you are sending to them? Now I'm curious.

Lifehacker is a terrible offender. Any of their pages contains the source code of the relevant content enclosed in a javascript object. I could just eval() the contents of the right <script> tag, append the created object to the DOM

Did anybody notice that this feature is already available (off by default) in Firefox 11 stable? I hope they don't turn it on, or advertisers will move away from Flash to Canvas.
