   It actually produces the exact opposite, my observation from experience is: Some people will now work the system and want to be made redundant, by doing the minimum possible. Good people will leave for other opportunities. This takes months

    I agree but in the context of the article, I believe the classes being sealed aren't meant to be overridden. If the author has spent time optimising to that level, overriding probably isn't necessary or warranted in that area.

    I agree, by using var you need to name your variable better therefore making your code more readable. Rather than relying on the interface/class definition to explain to someone why you used "obj".
