I took a quick look too and it looks like its javascript calling over to Java using Liveconnect ( http://www.mozilla.org/rhino/scriptjava.html ). The infrastructure folder contains support for Rhino.

All I get is a blank screen (thats trying to load bootstrap.js) after logging into http://ares.palm.com/Ares/index.html FTA, it looks like the UI is based on bespin which uses canvas. I tried on FF 3 and Opera 10. Could that be a problem

Wouldnt it be possible to do the same through an iPod or iPod Touch? Given that the joojoo has no keyboard or apps, there isnt much of an advantage except for the screen dimensions.

Itd be good to get a debugger, connect it to the process and run through the code. You will find a pattern emerging when playing with the application, say, for different clicks of a webapp. After a few days, you will know how the flow works

I was thinking keyboard shortcuts would have been implemented, went to the demo page , opened "my computer", hit Alt+F4 (thinking that itd close the "my computer" modal, boom, my browser closed. Would be nice to integrate keyboard shortcuts

+1 Im not sure how someone can do justice to the day job as well as the side projects. Over a period of time, you start thinking about your side project during the day job and vice versa. IMO, having more than one job is just going to split
