For me personally, the ability to write custom authentication plugins for HTTPie is the reason I use it. For my use case I wrote a simple AWS Sigv4 [0] plugin to simplify calling AWS API Gateway endpoints during development/debugging.

It looks like it is exposing the handler over TCP using net/rpc. I would imagine that would be quite difficult to port to a different language.

It looks like the compiled binary just gets exec'd by the Lambda function and listens on a TCP port (specified by the environment variable _LAMBDA_SERVER_PORT) which accepts RPC calls to execute the handler using net/rpc. The code

Interesting concept, but an unauthenticated SMS gateway might not be a good idea. I hope there is throttling and other means of abuse prevention in place.

I believe this was mentioned last time TinyCert appeared on HN, but a self-hosted version of this would be more ideal. I personally use etcd-ca[0] to ease management of my own certificates. [0] https://github.com/coreos/
